This project was inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Taking concepts from the game I designed elements to create a slot machine. The game allows users to add credits and place bets while trying to increase their winnings.

The overall objective of the project was to build a slot machine game using JavaScript while including the ability to store local data. This allows the user to return later and begin at their previous play state.

To meet the project objectives I developed the functions and integrated them where necessary. The design elements were chosen to be designed as vectors and integrated using SVG, maintaining consistency with the original Legend of Zelda concept.

This franchise is a large provider of hardware specializing in bolt, nuts and screws.

The company’s objective was to create an online website solution that allows clients to easily search for their desired products. They were also seeking a new logo design which would keep the use of their current company name.

The website was built using the foundation framework as well as AngularJS which allows for a responsive design, better search-ability and limited page loads. We chose a limited colour palette which emphasized button callouts while making sure not to take away from the product content.

Designing of the logo was to be kept simple, using mainly typography to maintain the use of the company name while still remaining minimalistic.

Pza Pie is a traditional family owned and operated Italian pizzeria. They are best known for their homemade pizza sauce and famous garlic infused crust.

The company was interested a new logo design and a website which would offer an online ordering system that included a ‘create your own’ pizza option. They also wanted an Italian inspired logo which highlighted their traditional family roots, while bringing in a more modern contemporary feel.

A custom site design using a three column layout gives customers the ability to choose their toppings, see their pizza, and keep track of their cart total. The incorporation of PHP provides customers with a live update of their pizza and cart total providing a more user friendly platform.

The logo was designed to be minimalistic and oversized depicting the key signature ingredient of pizza, a tomato.

The Arkell Cottage is a beautiful property located on Lake McKellar which is available to rent for short or long term durations targeting those looking for a rustic experience with the amenities of home.

The clients desire was to have a logo designed and their current website look and feel updated. Their target audience are families and groups who are looking to find a retreat during any season of the year.

During the client consultation we established that the overall design should be a single page site, portraying a rustic look specifically with the use of wood elements. Colours, textures and patterns were all chosen using inspiration from the cottage itself.

The logo was designed to contrast the light natural wood used throughout the website. The concept was to add some rustic charm while sticking with the colour scheme and overall theme.

This project was inspired by my love for coffee. The objective behind this project was to depict coffee habits and interesting facts through a visualization of data, commonly known as an infographic.

In order to accomplish my goal I developed survey data to collect research on coffee consumption along with additional online research focused more on coffee facts.

The design was sectioned into blocks using shades of beige, grey and green to identify blocks of similar information which allowed for the different shades of brown to pop.

Once the infographic was completed it was converted to a flash animation which provided a more holistic experience for viewers. The original project has since been converted to a video file which works with HTML5 in order to be accessible across all platforms.

The OEA is an association which strives to educate and inform the public about equestrian sport in Ontario. They also offer membership which provides insurance and educational programming for those involved in equestrian sport.

In order to reach members and improve communication the client desired the development and design of a website and logo.

We chose a minimalistic design which clearly identified the OEA. Green and beige were the main colours chosen as they are traditional and classic colours in the equestrian world. We also decided to use large hero images above the fold in order to place emphasis on equestrian lifestyle. The website was built using the foundation framework to ensure accessibility and responsiveness across all digital platforms.

The Icecream Queen is a dessert shop that offers ice creams, gelatos and ice cream treats. They make all of their desserts in house using only all-natural ingredients.

As a way to increase sales and promote conversation during customer visits the client was interested having a table talker (brochure)  designed.

This fun, promotional piece was intended to highlight specials and feature desserts. We decided on a circus style theme, incorporating shapes and a multitude of colours. The table talker was comprised of five pages, each exuding a different colour starburst while providing depth using layers and imagery.

The clients were looking to have an entire rebrand and website overhaul in order to draw in new cliental and to further strengthen communications with existing clients.

To accomplish this we redesigned the logo including purple hues which is more gender neutral but still appeals to the dominant female target audience. The overall design is meant to exude personality with an overall classic tone. A brand book was put in place to outline the conditions and limitations for the overall brand.

With the brand established the website was implemented based upon brand standards. The site design is targeted towards parents who would be enrolling their children by highlighting class scheduling and payment information.
